Anti-lockdown protestors stormed the Oregon Capitol to demand that Oregon reduce state restrictions and allow them to go back to work on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
Ronnie Daniels, one of the speakers at the protest, spoke about the “Wuhan Virus,” and expressed concerns that, “This is a shutdown, 1 out of seven, in this state, right now, because we are worried about the Wuhan Virus,” Daniels said, “We’ve been fighting this for thousands of years, not even Moses shut down in the desert.”
“But nevertheless, people, we got a Governor [not] listening to the will of the people. We got a right…we need to let her know that we are tired of the tyranny that she put on this state, and that god said we need to make it happen and open up.”
“We never shut down in World War I, World War II, The depression, Korea, civil rights, Vietnam or 9/11. So, why do they want to shut us down? They love to exert control like a communist.”
“We don’t need violence, I don’t care about race, your income status, and I don’t care about anything else. At the end of the day, I do my thing, I address everybody…and stand up because we have to, if we don’t, then we’re setting example to be sheep ready for the slaughter.”
Joey Nations, a candidate running for a seat in Congress, also spoke at the protest to share his concerns and reasons to why he is running.
“Just like all of you, I am sick and tired of communists ruining my state and ruining my country,” Nations said railing the supermajority the democrats hold, “we got to get this state back to work and that means getting the right people as your representatives, as your leaders, because right now we have a real failure of leadership.”
Nations continued his criticism of “that marble nut house,” Nations said referring to the Oregon Capitol, “is filled with the worse kind of people. Those are the kind of people that wants to stop you from earning a living, they want to stop you from choosing for your family, they want to stop you from enjoying your civil liberties.”
Nations also included that he would use social media to reach out to people and inform them on what is really happening in the government. All-the-while, not selling a dime of stock and “draining the swamp” in making sure “America First” priorities come first to create an economy based off the people.
Joey Nations is not a backstabber, I am a front stabber, and that scares Washington D.C.
A Trucker from “Welderup Custom Hot Rods” showed up and spoke from his truck and encouraged people to “stand up.”
Indicating that he doesn’t want more people dying or getting sick, while also stating, “If everybody goes back to work on Monday, they are not going to arrest us all”
